An Object Container is the repository for all the visual elements used in your tests. This gets automatically created for you by the Bq Genie. You can also manually edit/add properties/elements for those edge cases.

Elements are part of a screen. A screen encapsulates various different kinds of elements. Organising it by Screen makes it easier to find a specific element. BqGenie makes its best guess to identify the screen, however it is strongly recommended to edit it to correctly organise your elements.

Step by Step guide :

  1. Click on Design from the left pane.

  2. Select Object Container option.

  3. Click on Add Screen button.

  4. Enter Application Screen meta data

  • Enter the Screen Name

  • Enter Screen Title

  • Enter the Screen description

5. Click on Save button.

6. Click on Add Element button.

7. Enter Object Details meta data

  • Enter the Object Friendly Name

  • Select the Application Type

  • Select the Object Type

  • Select Frame path / Frame index (if any)

  • Tap on the grid row to select the locator from the dropdown

  • Enter the object property for the selected locator of the element

8. Click on Save button.

An object may have a single or multiple element properties.
